Animal Citations and Fines
The Animal Control Division issues citations for violations of State Laws and City Ordinances. Any person who receives a citation will have a set court date for the hearing of a violation.
For a State/County citation, you will need to appear at the Judicial Center in Bradley County General Sessions Court, located at 2250 Blythe Avenue, SE. However, if you choose to pay the citation, before your scheduled court date, you may do so. For more information in reference to a State/County citation, call (423) 728-7052.
If you have received a city citation you will need to appear at the Cleveland Police Department, City Court Room, located at 100 Church Street, NE. Also, if you choose to pay the citation, before your scheduled court date, you may do so. You can pay at the City Municipal Building located at 190 Church Street, NE. Attention please note: For failure to appear or pay for a state citation on an animal violation, additional fines will be added and could result in jail time. You may also contact the Animal Control Division if you have received a City/State citation and need further information. Call (423) 479-2122 select option 2.
