The Community Development Department's purpose is to provide services that support orderly growth and a quality living environment within the Cleveland community. This is accomplished through planning, administration of funding programs, and administration and enforcement of regulations affecting building and development. The department has two divisions, planning and codes, which work cooperatively with each other, other city departments, other governmental agencies, and most importantly, the public, to further the department's purpose.
